ComicCon International 2008 in San Diego, California had to be the biggest video gameand comic book crossover event ever! Comic Con provided fans with exclusive looks at never-before-seen gameplay. There was a lot of excitement for Midway’s upcoming Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe video game and DK Publishing had an A-list roster of Star Wars, DC Comics, and Marvel authors and artists.

LEGO Batman: The Videogame is the latest game from the award-winning team behind the LEGO Star Wars series of games.   Players will take control of the Dynamic Duo, Batman and Robin, to fight Gotham City’s most notorious criminals including The Joker, The Penguin, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Killer Croc and many more. The game will be released in September for the Sony PSP, Sony PS2, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3 and Xbox360.

Electronic Artsshowcased 10 of their hottest games of the year at the ComicCon 2008.  Games attendees where allowed to play in 30 min sessions:

·  Battleforge: Build the perfect army and lay waste to your foes in an amazing new fantasy RTS.

·  Battlefield Heroes: An all-new Play 4 Free cartoon-style shooter that brings classic Battlefield gameplay to an all new mass audience.

· Crysis Warhead: The follow up to the Best PC game of 2007, Crysis Warhead is a parallel story that takes players through the fierce battles of Psycho, one of the most memorable characters from Crysis.

· Dead Space: Play through the story of engineer Isaac Clarke, in EA’s brand new third-person survival horror game.

· Dragon Age: BioWare’s next gen dark heroic fantasy masterpiece! 

·  Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: Play Quidditch, duel, mix potions, solve puzzles, cast spells with Wii remote.

· Lord of the Rings: Conquest: – grab your blade, bow or staff and ride onto the battlegrounds of J.R.R. Tolkien’s world to fight for either good or evil. 

· Mercanaries 2: An explosive open-world action game set in a massive, highly reactive, war-torn Venezuela.

·  Mirror's Edge: A unique first-person action adventure that delivers players straight into the shoes of a modern day heroine.

· Warhammer: Based on Games Workshop’s popular Warhammer® fantasy war game, WAR features next generation Realm vs. Realm™ (RvR) game play that will immerse players in a world of perpetual conflict for years to come. 

Stan Lee, Comic Book legend joined former game designer and current comic writer Brian Reed for a behind-the-scenes discussion of the creative process, story development and technology used to bring comic book heroes to life in the most advanced Super Hero games ever.

It was a night of Superhero revelry as Sony Online Entertainment's unveiled DC Universe Online at San Diego Comic-Con by hosting a party at Belo Nightclub in Downtown SD.
