Music Top 10
Summer is at its peak, and
that means the music festival season is in full swing. Billboard reports that music is going green,
and festival organizers are committed to reduce the carbon footprint of their
multi-day events. From solar powered
stages to transportation efficiency, Mother Earth is sure to benefit. Now let’s see what’s topping our chart on the
Top 10 Music Countdown.
Number 10 is another
milestone in O.A.R’s storied career. They
holed themselves up in a studio in LA to work on their latest, “All Sides.”
The Original Cast
Recording at 9 is from a milestone musical that critics are calling relevant
and funk-inflected. You don’t wanna pass
up “Passing Strange.”
John Mellencamp is pushing
the tech envelope with his latest.
Recorded in a brand new Hi-Def audio format called CODE, 8 is “Life, Death, Love & Freedom.”
Nas is
back and more controversial than ever on his new untitled Def Jam release. 7 is his 9th studio album, dissecting issues
like race and power on “Nas.”
6 is the third album from
Grammy Award winning multi platinum artist Los Lonely Boys. With elements of
RockNRoll, Blues, Soul, Country and Tejano, it’s “Forgiven.”
The release date for this
album has changed 3 times! I guess The
Game is keeping his fans salivating for more.
Flying into the 5th spot, it’s “LAX.”
Sugarland, co-wrote all
the tracks on their third studio album.
The superduo debuted their single “All I want to Do” live on the ACM
awards. 4 is “Love on the Inside.”
They’ve tweaked their
signature Britpop sound—but stuck with their knack for mid-tempo majesty. Expanded with studio bells and whistles, 3 is
Coldplay with “Viva La Vida.”
Her Disney alter ego is
Hannah Montana, but Miley Cyrus is coming out on her own. 2 is her first full length album under her
own name and it’s called “Breakout.”
Claiming the top spot is
an album with a tightly assembled group of songs that range from introspective to
humorous. It’s Beck’s first new album
since 2005, “Modern Guilt.”
I love the music scene in
the summer. Nothing like dancing all
night long to the summertime hits with my friends! Plus the awesome outdoor concerts…or just
listening to my mp3s on the sand. To
