In the gadgets just keep getting smaller file, IBM recently announced two major scientific achievements in the field of nanotechnology that could eventually lead to devices built from a few atoms or molecules. In other words, imagine an iPod able to hold thirty thousand feature films.

And in the robots are taking over the world category, English and French academics have created the Microtransat Challenge, a boat race made up of ships that are completely autonomous. That’s right, robot boats.
