I Didn't Do It!

For those of you who always wanted to prove you didn’t cause that car accident, Mercury may have your solution. Their latest GPS unit includes an integrated black box to record the final moments before an accident. It uses a camera to track vehicles in front of you, and if there's an accident, the system kicks in to store 12 seconds of video before the accident and six seconds after. We look forward to seeing it debut on our tech countdown in the coming weeks.

In Music news, American Idol Carrie Underwood is set to release her second album in the Fall. The still-untitled follow-up to “Some Hearts,” will hit stores on October 23rd.  Other releases hitting stores, include: “Constantine,” by American Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis; “Angels and Devils,” by Fuel; and “Underground Kings,” by UGK.

Fans of M. Night Shyamalan will have something to smile about. The director of “The Sixth Sense,” and “Lady in the Water,” is starting production on his next film, "The Happening." It will star Mark Wahlberg as a man who takes his family on the run when a natural disaster threatens to end the world. It’s due to hit theaters in June of 2008. Other DVDs released this week, include: “Flash Gordon, Savior of the Universe Edition;” Season Two of “The Muppet Show;” and Chris Rock in “I Think I Love My Wife.”

Happy Monday!

Melissa
