News from the set of the Batman sequel: "The Dark Knight." It's been confirmed that The Scarecrow played by actor Cillian Murphy in the original returns to wreak more havoc on the caped crusader in the follow-up. And, also making entertainment headlines, director Brett Ratner of "Rush Hour" and "X-Men: The Last Stand," fame, is set to direct Universal Pictures' "Playboy," a biopic about Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner.

In book news, Richard Belzer is jumping from the screen to the page. The actor-comedian best known for his role as detective John Munch in "Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit," has signed with Simon and Schuster to write two mystery books featuring himself as a TV performer caught up in his own plot. He calls it the first "reality novel." And if it's good enough, he might just end up on our celebrated books countdown.
